The price depends on the size of the school, the number of computers covered and, in the first year, the setup. Our estimator calculates the annual license in two minutes; setup and support are priced with you when we prepare the quote.
No. Focalis is for running a lesson, live, not for spying: its logs contain no lesson content. On a personal computer, students choose what they allow, see when their screen is shared and can leave the class at any time.
No. The teacher’s computer communicates directly with students’ computers over the school’s local network. They just need to be on the same network, Wi-Fi or wired.
macOS, on Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, and Windows 10 and 11. One class can mix both: the teacher targets each system’s app in a single move.
No mode stays active indefinitely. After a short delay, set by the school, students get their computer back as it was: no more Focus, no more black screen, no more locked keyboard.
No lesson data: no screens, no messages, no files. Only the license and the school computers’ settings go through our online service. A student’s personal computer never contacts it.
The IT department installs Focalis on the computers and places the room configuration on them. It takes precedence over local settings: nothing to redo in class, and students can’t change it.
